As expected – constitutional carry short lived in D.C.

Subsequent to a stipulation by SAF that a 90 day stay of the ruling that granted constitutional carry rights in Washington D.C. was permissible, the court issued a stay of its ruling.  The District asked for a stay of either 180 days or for the entire (longer) length of their appeal.  SAF, by stipulating to a 90 day delay of the recognition of rights, gave the D.C. city council time to craft a new carry licensing scheme that will undoubtedly create a less accessible carry privilege rather than a right to carry accessible by all law abiding residents and visitors to our Nation’s Capitol.
