Piers Morgan: Knowing people in the Military means you know about guns?

Well, I do know a bit about guns, actually. My brother’s a lieutenant colonel in the British Army and has served tours of duty in Northern Ireland, the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan. My sister married a colonel who trained Princes William and Harry at Sandhurst. My uncle was a major in the Green Howards.

I know a bit about being a TV “news” man, I’ve watched TV!

What’s amazing is that isn’t the most profoundly stupid thing in that article!

The guy operates on that leftist “there is no such thing as reality” ground so completely he said “The gun-lobby logic dictates that the only way to defend against gun criminals is for everyone else to have a gun, too….

To me, this is a warped, twisted logic that bears no statistical analysis and makes no sense.”

No statistical analysis? Are you kidding? Go ask John Lott or Gary Kleck, who spend their lives studying this. There’s a ton of data backing that assertion. Heck, just go ask the police, the trainers who train the SWAT teams, and the trainers who train those trainers. They all back the idea of having armed people everywhere.

And then he advocates gun control, while Connecticut already has an AWB in place, and already has strict gun control. And we have no statistical backing?
