Orlando’s MAIG Regional
Gun Control Czar Coordinator has failed to provide all documents demanded and is clearly using multiple personal email accounts for official purposes.
See the statute and email exchange below!

Good afternoon, Mr. Caranna.
I am in receipt of your follow up to your public records request. As is my standard practice, I have forwarded it back to Ms. Vaughn for her response to your questions and will get back to you as soon as possible. As for Ms. Vaughn’s city email, we have provided all responsive documents.

Today I received a CD with 8mb of emails and email attachments in response to our public records request.
86 emails.
We requested substantially all work products of the City’s MAIG Regional Coordinator, Linda S. Vaughn. This request, made under Art. I, Sec. 24 of the Florida Constitution, and chapter 119, F.S., included:
1. ALL communications, documents, records, orders, assignments, and other work products produced from 2010 to present by any MAIG Regional Coordinator, including Linda S. Vaughn…
a. including but not limited to memorandums, reports, notes, letters, emails, and text messages that were addressed, intended for, or delivered via any medium to:
Orlando Mayor or his directly reporting staff
Orlando Chief of Police or his/her directly reporting staff
Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG) and its officers and employees
Mayors Against Illegal Guns Coalition (MAIGC) and its officers and employees
United Against Illegal Guns Support Fund (UAIGSF) and its officers and employees
The Joyce Foundation and its officers and employees
Violence Policy Center (VPC) and its officers and employees
Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence (Brady Campaign) and its officers and employees
Any State Legislator or Legislative Staff Member
Any Federal Legislator or Legislative Staff Member2. All quarterly financial reports, programmatic reports, and other periodic activity reports sent to UAIGSF or MAIG; including those required under the terms of MAIG, Joyce, and/or UAIGSF related grants.
Is it the City’s contention that these 86 emails are the entire work product of your MAIG regional coordinator?
Is it further the contention of the city that it took over 10 hours of work to gather these 86 emails?
Has the MAIG Coordinator prepared no activity reports?
Have none of the reports required under the terms of the UAIGSF Grant funding this position (in part) been generated or sent?
If any materials produced by, on behalf of, or sent to, any MAIG employee or affiliate was left out of the city’s response please reply with the basis for the exclusion; including the exact statutory citation authorizing such exclusion pursuant to 119.07(1)(d), F.S.
